Witch's Hats Recipe of 30-10-2015 [Updated on 07-02-2018]

Today I present to you my witch hats, another fun idea to spend a few hours with your children in joy! After seeing the photo on the internet I immediately tried to understand how they were made and, always with the help of Carolina, we made these nice sweets. To make the witch hats you will need round cookies, ice cream cones, chocolate and small slices of licorice and colorful smarties to make the decorations, I assure you that these sweets, if served at a halloween party for children, will be the first to to disappear. Yesterday I took Elisa to a fancy dress party with her classy friends, she had a lot of fun, too bad that the buffet was made up of the classic sandwich accompanied by chips and popcorn, there are so many ideas to be realized for this occasion that it's a real shame, in this regard I leave you the link of the special halloween so you can get ideas for your theme party: P I greet you and I'm going to shoot this week's video recipes, see you later: *

How to make witch hats

If you want to prepare the biscuits you will need about 150 gr, I used the chocolate shortcrust pastry and I made some 8 cm circles with a pastry ring. Otherwise you can use bought round cookies.

Bake the biscuits for about 10 minutes in a preheated convection oven at 180 ° C.
Then remove from the oven and let it cool completely.

Melt the chocolate (in the microwave or in a double boiler).

Brush cold biscuits with chocolate (on one side only).

Then brush the outer surface of the cones as well.

Place a cone on each biscuit (obviously upside down) and brush the junction between the two with a little more chocolate so that they stick well together.

Let it rest for about fifteen minutes (if the chocolate is too soft the decorations will slip away), then proceed with the decoration.

Unroll a licorice wheel, wrap it around the base of the inverted cone and cut off the excess with scissors.

Decorate the cone with smarties. Then put it in the fridge for at least twenty minutes for the chocolate to solidify.

Serve your beautiful witch hats.
