Last week I found these wonderful courgette flowers at the supermarket, I had shrimp tails and so I decided to make a mix by inserting the shrimp in the flower and then frying everything in batter, I don't know if there is need to tell you how they were ;) There is a great variety of batters for frying, from the classic one with eggs and flour to that with mineral water or wine or to the one indicated for tempura, when I prepare the vegetables, and the courgette flowers in particular, I prefer to use the beer batter, light, fragrant and aromatic. Method

How to make courgette flowers and prawns in batter

Marinate the shrimp tails with the chopped garlic clove, a pinch of salt and a drizzle of olive oil for about 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, prepare the beer batter.
Put the flour in a bowl.
Slowly add the beer, working well with a whisk.

Then add the salt and a tablespoon of seed oil, and mix well.

Once the batter is ready, wash the courgette flowers and clean them, removing the stem and pistil.

Drain the shrimp from the marinade and insert one into each courgette flower.

Then pass one at a time in the batter, making it adhere from all sides.

Fry the mixed flowers in a pan with hot seed oil.

It will take 1-2 minutes per side.

Once golden, let them dry on a little absorbent paper, then serve immediately.
