There rolled cake it is a decidedly effective dessert. The preparation times are a bit long because, as you will imagine, it is not a simple filled cake ... The particularity of this cake is therefore its base, which is made up of biscuit dough. Yes, the one for making stuffed rolls, and in fact this cake is kind of big Chocolate roll, served standing instead of lying down.
Ok, said that it may seem strange and even more complicated than it is, but I assure you that if you read all the passages thoroughly (and above all to look at the step-by-step photos) it will immediately appear clearer and you will see that you will not have problems preparing it;)

How to make rolled cake

Beat the eggs with the sugar for at least 10-15 minutes, until they have tripled in volume.
Add milk and vanilla slowly while continuing to whisk, then also incorporate the sifted flour and yeast, a little at a time.

Pour the mixture thus obtained into 2 baking trays lined with parchment paper (mine are 36 × 27 cm), half by one, and level the surface well.
Bake for about 8 minutes in a static oven preheated to 220 ° C.
Turn the biscuit dough over onto a second sheet of parchment paper and let it cool.

Work the mascarpone with a whisk to soften it, then mix the nutella with it.

Divide both bases into 4 equal strips, cutting lengthwise.
Take the first strip and sprinkle it with Nutella cream, then gently roll it up on itself.

Take a second strip, sprinkle this with Nutella too and roll it around the first.
Continue like this until all the strips of cookie dough are used up, then wrap with cling film and let it rest in the fridge for 1 hour.

Finally whip the cold cream from the fridge, take the cake back and cover it with the cream decorating it to taste.

The rolled cake is ready, you just have to bring it to the table, cut the first slice and enjoy the look of amazement on your guests' faces!
