Peeled and washed potatoes are grated and drained well. Finely chop the onion and place it over the squeezed potatoes. Add the yolk, oil and spices and mix. Cream is also incorporated.

Potato stew

For a simple fasting stew with potatoes (4 servings) you need:

1 kg. of potatoes (peeled ready to peel), cut into equal cubes, I recommend pink peeled potatoes, which are not so sharp-edged.
100 grams of finely chopped onion
2 tablespoons oil
1 clove of crushed garlic
1 teaspoon sweet, flavored paprika
1 bunch of finely chopped green parsley
salt and pepper
optional: 1 bay leaf
optional: a bell pepper or 1 tablespoon of pepper paste
optional: 1/2 tablespoon tomato paste.

We put on the fire a pan of 1.1 / 2 & ndash 2 liters. Immediately add the oil and finely chopped onion, crushed garlic and diced bell pepper.

After the onion is soft, add the sweet paprika. Then we put a pepper paste, optional. Mix the paprika and the hardened onion and add 1/2 liter of hot water, because the paprika caramelizes easily and changes its color and aroma.

Then add the potato cubes. These cubes must be approximately equal to be made at the same time. If necessary, fill with hot water, add as much as necessary to cover the potatoes. We will put a bay leaf, if desired, and salt to taste.

After 16-17 minutes of cooking, remove 2 tablespoons of boiled potatoes from the juice.

We will mix well and pour the pasta in the pan with the potato stew, mixing well afterwards. After 2-3 boils, the mixture will thicken nicely, without the need to add flour or other starch compared to the one naturally contained in potatoes.

Add salt and pepper to taste.


1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and generous salt powder.
2. Make a hole in the center of the flour and break the egg, add the milk and vanilla essence, then mix the pancake dough well.
3. Once the dough is homogeneous, gradually incorporate the 3 tablespoons of oil or melted butter.
4. Heat a large non-stick pan and grease it with a little butter or oil.

Sweet Potato Pancakes

- Mix in a bowl all the solid ingredients: freshly sifted flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar and salt.
- Mix in a bowl the sweet mashed potatoes, coconut milk, egg whites and vanilla essence until the composition becomes homogeneous.

- When the composition is homogeneous, gradually add the mixture of solid ingredients. Mix until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
- Add the chopped pecans and mix the mixture for a few seconds at low speed.

- Heat a non-stick pan very well in which 1-2 drops of oil have been previously added (I wipe the surface of the pan with an absorbent paper napkin so that the oil reaches the entire surface). Bake the pancakes on both sides over medium heat.

Wash the potatoes well and boil them in their skins. Let them boil for a few minutes, but always check them with a fork and turn off the heat when they start to soften. At the end, sprinkle a few sprigs of rosemary and leave the potatoes for another 2-3 minutes on the fire.

2. Fasting mousse with potatoes

Even if you can't use meat to cook it, fasting moussaka with potatoes is a delight.


  • 1 kg of potatoes

  • half a kilogram of mushrooms

  • a clove of garlic
  • half a tablespoon of flour

Boil the potatoes in their skins, and when they are ready, they are peeled and cut into cubes. Peel the onion and cut it into slices, as well as the cucumbers and donuts. In a bowl mix all the ingredients, put the olives, add the oil and salt and pepper to taste.

4. Potato soup

For lunch, the soup is very suitable, and the potato soup is very tasty and is prepared in a very short time.

Potato pancakes with pumpkin

Vegetable pancakes are very easy to make, they are delicious and quick, suitable for any occasion. When you feel like something similar to vegetable meatballs, but you want to give them a different look, these pancakes with potatoes and zucchini are ideal.

You can make them from any vegetable or combination of vegetables you like, as long as they are vegetables that are cooking at about the same time.

The dough for these American pancakes with bananas is simple and easy to make. To make it very fast I used the vertical mixer Tefal Quickchef of 1000 w together with the kneading and crushing accessory. I mixed just to combine all the ingredients. Do not mix excessively because you will get some dense and hard pancakes.

To bake the wonderful American pancakes with bananas I used a pancake pan. Leave the heat low to medium and cook each pancake until bubbles appear on the surface of the dough. Do not light the fire because they will burn before baking and inside. You can make them as big or small as you want, as you prefer. I like mediums, but for children they are nice little ones that I can handle more easily. You can serve them with whatever you like. With honey, chocolate, jam or jam.
