It took:

Beat the 3 eggs, then add the oil, sugar, milk and baking soda quenched with lemon juice and then add the flour. Make a suitable hard dough, divide it into 3 parts, spread it and bake it on the back of the tray.

Put the milk and sugar in a saucepan, put it on the right heat, when it has warmed up, but not hot, add flour in the form of rain and mix continuously. Let it cool a bit and then let it cool. When it has cooled so you can keep your finger in it, put margarine and lemon peel. Divide into 2, put in 2 sheets, cut after they have softened.

Add the sugar to the milk and stir until it dissolves. Then add the eggs, oil, salt, ammonia, and then mix again very well. Put flour in the composition as it contains, so as to form a dough neither too hard nor too soft for 3-4 sheets of cake. Bake the sheets on the back of a tray that is first sprinkled with flour.

Add 10 tablespoons of cold milk to a bowl, then add the flour and sugar. Boil the remaining milk together with the peel of a lemon. When the milk on the fire boils, add the rest of the milk that you have previously mixed with the flour and sugar and start stirring continuously until the whole composition boils again. Bring everything to a boil until you see that this composition comes off the pan easily. After it has boiled, take it off the heat and let it cool, stirring occasionally in it.

When it cools, add the butter little by little. It is very important that it is at room temperature. Stir vigorously. Then add, in turn, the essence of vanilla or rum and lemon juice.

The final step is to assemble the cake. Put a sheet on the tray and add the cream evenly on it. Repeat the process until you run out of sheets. Now refrigerate for a few hours or, preferably, overnight in the refrigerator.

Snow White

Eggs are mixed with sugar (including vanilla) until a creamy foam is obtained. Sprinkle with lemon peel and mix for incorporation.

Add the oil, little by little, the milk and the ammonia quenched with lemon juice. Homogenize and gradually add flour.

A soft, non-sticky dough is obtained. We divide it into equal pieces (6 came out for me), which we will spread out in a thin sheet, with the help of a twister. We prick them from place to place with a fork and bake them, one by one, on the back of an oven tray. (I recommend an average temperature of 160 degrees, for 5-6 minutes)

For the cream we proceed as follows:

Boil the milk together with a vanilla pod, cut in half, lengthwise.

Mix the flour with the starch and sugar, sprinkle with grated lemon peel and pour the milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. The cream thus obtained, we put it on the fire, until it thickens. Add lemon juice and mix.

After it cools completely, add the soft butter (at room temperature), mixing until completely incorporated.

On each sheet add a few tablespoons of cream (place sheet / cream / sheet / cream), which is even on the entire surface. Then cover with cling film and keep cool overnight.

Snow White & # 8211 Quick recipe with help from Dr. Oetker

The winter holidays are approaching, and I'm one, I've already started making gift lists (find inspiration for gifts here), but besides that I'm already thinking about what goodies to prepare for Christmas. One of my childhood cakes is Snow White, a cake my mother used to make in the winter.

I still remember how I tore a corner of the sheets just out of the oven and how I cleaned the cream pan with my fingers, to the last trace, even if my mother threatened to ruin my appetite.

I've been making homemade cakes lately, but this time I got some unexpected help from Dr. Oetker. I didn't have much time or too much fun, and Snow White is one of those cakes with sheets, and that takes some time to make and bake.

When I went to the supermarket for ingredients, the plan sounded like this: if I find ready-made sheets, I make Snow White, if not, I do something else.

When I reached the shelf with cake ingredients, Dr. Oetker's sheets popped into my eyes. My mother has been using their products since I know myself, and I in turn became their loyal customer because they have quality products, small kitchen aids, and from year to year, they surprise me with very nice new products! (I don't know if you've seen their mix of cake without worries, but good job marketing team!)

I saw a paper advertisement somewhere or somehow my instinct told me I would find it and that's how it was. I won't go into too much detail, Dr. Oetker's help doesn't stop there, but you'll see below in the list of ingredients my quick adaptation of Snow White.

Recipe adapted for Snow White

  • 1 set of 4 sheets for simple cakes from Dr. Oetker
  • 2 sachets of vanilla pudding
  • 7-8 tablespoons sugar
  • 150g butter
  • 1L of milk
  • lemon peel
  • juice of 1 lemon or even 2
  • cock

Method of preparation

Prepare the pudding as written on the envelope or in the case of Dr. Oetker I usually mix the contents of the envelopes with 7-8 tablespoons of sugar, then incorporate the milk and put everything on the fire until the pudding thickens (joke).

I also grated the lemon peel from the beginning and put it in the mixture, and at the end, after the pudding was ready, I put the lemon juice, strained, and I mixed the diced butter for a faster homogenization. The butter put in the pudding offers creaminess, and when the pudding cools it no longer has that gelatinous texture, but becomes more creamy.

That's pretty much all, though waste 10 minutes with the assembly and with a little help, finish a super cake in no more than 30 minutes.

For assembly we have: sheet + cream, until the cream is finished, but it is also placed on the last sheet at the top, so pay little attention to the division. Sprinkle a generous layer of coconut flakes on top!

The cake is left to cool overnight, and if you want to cut it as nicely as I do, I'll leave you with the scheme I cheated on, here, in case you're not too skilled when it comes to cutting cakes. (I might seem stupid, but the picture really helps :)))

My dears, this is my adaptation for one of my favorite cakes from my childhood, I know I cheated, but who wouldn't want such a delicious cake ready in 30 minutes?

I recommend the same sheets for another favorite of my childhood, the bee cake, although there were some sheets of honey, I'm sure they would turn out delicious!

Thank you if you read to the end, I hope you like it, try it too, and for other recipes I leave you the article written last year with ideas for holiday cakes and also, go see Recipes (a shortcut to all published recipes by me).

Ah & # 8230 one more thing, I also come with a cake recipe, as soon as possible, the recipe is even for those who are new to cake (it came out of the first one, the second round follows and then I share impressions) Kisses!
